My 10p Mix

When I was a lad, My little weekly treat, Was to get a 10p mix, That I would quickly eat.

For that little bit of money, My paper bag would bulge, With pink shrimps, pear drops, And cola cubes i'd indulge.

Some sherbet in a saucer, Plus a few half penny chews, The odd white mice and dib-dab, Oh how could I refuse.

My 10p does not go that far now, But perhaps that's not so bad, Cause my teeth are still recovering, From that last Wham bar that I had.
